The U-14 Flames rode the strong right arm of Tiffany Hanson to a 16-0 victory over the Kraze Tuesday night at Parkview Softball Complex.

The Flames put runs on the board early, turning two walks and two triples by Kelsey Jaques and Maddie Green into three first inning runs.

On the mound, the Flames Hanson was in control all evening. Kraze leadoff hitter Sarah Hast singled to begin the game, but was thrown out stealing, and Hanson cruised through the next eight Kraze batters, mixing a fastball, changeup, and occasional curve to keep the Kraze batters baffled all night. She did not give up a hit or runner after Hast?s first at bat.

The Flames added a run in the 2nd inning on two walks and a timely RBI single from Jamie Schweiss. In the 3rd, the Flames broke the game open scoring five runs. Lauren Petroff contributed an RBI single, and Syxx Peutz laid down a beautiful RBI bunt.

The final score was Flames 16, Kraze 0.

The Flames will travel in two weeks to a tournament in Steamboat, Colorado.
